Chinese To Invest In Soya Beans Sector

-Says Ghana Business & Finance

A Chinese investor, Mr Williams So, has announced plans to invest in the Ghanaian soya beans sector and then transform it into an enviable hub in the West Africa sub-region, the latest issue of Business & Finance Magazine (GB&F) has reported.

Mr So was in Ghana recently to visit a number of sites in the Northern Region earmarked for the soya beans business, whose first phase is expected to commence this year, GB&F has added.

The June 2012 issue of Ghana's first global business magazine, GB&F, also highlights the increasing pressure mounting on the Government of Ghana not to sign on the dotted line, the interim Economic Partnership Agreement (ECA), which appears to be the main instrument holding the hope for EU’s increased trade with Ghana.

The upscale monthly business magazine further highlights how Africa’s indigenous banking institutions have in recent years surpassed their Western rivals in many parts of Africa and try to tell its readers the causes of this new trend.  It also featured a story on the ailing poultry industry and how the local hen is crowing against invasion of its territory by foreign ones.

Also featured in the June issue is an article on how the interior design business is fast taking shape in Ghana. The article questions how many Ghanaians are aware of the business prospects of this budding venture.

GB&F also published an article on how the challenge of unqualified university graduates searching for high-level jobs may be ending as the Dominion University College through its faculty and board can serve as role models to assist students to find employment upon graduation.

The June issue of GB&F further takes a critical look at how SADA has embarked upon various programmes to change the fortunes of the Northern Savanna Ecological Zone (NSEZ). In this article, the long-awaited story of SADA is told in full.

An interesting article on Turkey, which has been described by many as a land for all tastes, is also published in the latest edition of the GB&F magazine.

GB&F also publishes a report on how Danadams Pharmaceuticals Industry Limited wants to become one of West Africa’s leading manufacturers of pharmaceutical products and facts regarding how Ghana has leveraged on the current economic boom in Africa to attract more investment.  Other articles in the magazine include how sports is becoming very lucrative in Ghana and Africa, among others.

“AMA Has Done Good Job”

-Says Oko Vanderpuije in an interview with Ghana Business & Finance

The Mayor of Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA), Hon. Alfred Oko Vanderpuije says there is enough evidence on the ground to show that his outfit has indeed done a good job within the last three years when he took over the affairs of the highly ambitious and ticking city of Accra, as Mayor of the city, the latest issue of Business & Finance Magazine (GB&F) has reported.

“Well, I believe that the people of the capital city would be the best judge for the work that has been undertaken under my leadership for the past three years,” The AMA boss stated in an exclusive interview with GB&F.

The May 2012 issue of Ghana's first global business magazine, Ghana Business & Finance (GB&F), highlights the efforts made by the AMA Mayor to transform the famous city of Accra into a Millennium City through sweat, determination and hard work. The cover story also touched on the overview of the performance of AMA under Hon. Alfred Oko Vanderpuije’s leadership since 2009 to date.

The upscale monthly business magazine, GB&F, also highlights how infrastructure sharing is fast becoming the order of the day in the Ghanaian telecom market as telcos are taking advantage of cost-sharing to alleviate their operational costs in the face of slimming profit margins.

Also featured in the May issue is an article on how local drug manufacturers are preparing to embark on a project to shore up capacities for the local and international markets.  It also highlights how substandard service delivery, premium undercutting, rising debts among others are bedevilling the Ghanaian insurance landscape and what the National Insurance Commission has to do to address the canker.

The May issue of GB&F further takes a critical look at how Ghana’s agriculture sector, after suffering loss in 2011, may be making amends as the nation resorts to irrigation for all-year- round production.

An interesting article on the Ghana Stock Exchange, which is going past its peers in the African region, but needs to step up its innovation to consolidate its accolades as the best in Africa, is also published in the latest edition of the magazine.

The May issue of GB&F also publishes a report on the the commencement of the Ghana’s Commodity Exchange slated for December 2012 and how it could bolster the nation’s neglected agriculture sector.
