The West African Gas Pipeline Company (WAGPCo) expects to fix the damaged portion of its pipeline by 25 December to restore natural gas supply to power plants in Ghana. The exact location of the damage has been identified, and a construction barge hired to fabricate the replacement of the six pipe joints. The damage to the pipeline, which resulted in a reduction of power generated by the Volta River Authority and a complete shutdown of the Sunon Asogli Power Plant, necessitated the current-running load shedding program. -African Alliance Research
